IAH or HOU
George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) has direct international flights, including from Lagos and London. Hobby (HOU) is closer to the city centre for domestic flights.

Houston is spread out. Uber and Lyft run everywhere; a rental car is easiest for families.

Getting around
From IAH airport
About 35–45 minutes to downtown by car. Rideshare is roughly $40–60. METRO bus 102 is the budget option.
From Hobby (HOU) airport
About 20 minutes to downtown by car; rideshare is roughly $25–35.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft are the easiest way around the city — allow extra time on weekend evenings.
Rental car
Both airports have rental centres. Best if you are travelling as a family or staying outside the centre.
METRORail
The red line links downtown, the Museum District and the Medical Center. Pay with the METRO Q app.
